Job Summary
Assess patient health status to develop individualized nursing care plans, implementing interventions and documenting activities for continuity and quality improvement. Coordinate support services during endoscopy procedures by anticipating team needs, positioning patients safely, and maintaining sterile environments through antisepsis and aseptic techniques. Facilitate patient care delivery by collaborating with healthcare providers, communicating with patients and families, and executing emergency life support actions as required. This role supports Optum's vision to improve healthcare outcomes and the Quadruple Aim within a collaborative, diverse team.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Active Registered Nurse license through the Washington State Department of Health
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare providers (AHA)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Membership in the Society of Gastrointestinal National Association and certification by SGNA
- 2+ years of recent endoscopy lab or ICU, ED experience
- Demonstrated advanced level of achievement of performance standards for endoscopy nursing according to SGNA standards of care
- 1+ years of experience working as a Registered Nurse
- Candidates are required to pass a drug test before beginning employment
Desired Qualifications
- Membership in the Society of Gastrointestinal National Association and certification by SGNA
- 2+ years of recent endoscopy lab or ICU, ED experience preferred
- Demonstrated advanced level of achievement of performance standards for endoscopy nursing according to SGNA standards of care
- 1+ years of experience working as a Registered Nurse
