Job Summary
Assess patient health status, develop individualized nursing care plans, and implement interventions to achieve patient goals in the Endoscopy GI Lab. Monitor patients physiologically and psychologically, coordinate support services, and communicate with the surgical team and recovery room personnel. Administer medications within scope of practice, ensure aseptic technique, and execute life support protocols during emergencies. Document all nursing activities for continuity of care and quality improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Active Registered Nurse license through the Washington State Department of Health
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare providers (AHA)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Membership in the Society of Gastrointestinal National Association and certification by SGNA
- 2+ years of recent endoscopy lab or ICU, ED experience
- Demonstrated advanced level of achievement of performance standards for endoscopy nursing according to SGNA standards of care
- 1+ years of experience working as a Registered Nurse
- Candidates are required to pass a drug test before beginning employment
Desired Qualifications
- Membership in the Society of Gastrointestinal National Association and certification by SGNA
- 2+ years of recent endoscopy lab or ICU, ED experience preferred
- Demonstrated advanced level of achievement of performance standards for endoscopy nursing according to SGNA standards of care
- 1+ years of experience working as a Registered Nurse
