Job Summary
Assess patient health status to develop individualized nursing care plans, implementing interventions and documenting activities for continuity and quality improvement. Coordinate endoscopy procedures by positioning patients, administering medications, and managing supplies while maintaining a sterile environment and preventing infection. Collaborate with the surgical team to facilitate care delivery, communicate patient needs, and execute life support measures during emergencies. Ensure patient identification and safety throughout diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Active Registered Nurse license through the Washington State Department of Health
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare providers (AHA)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Membership in the Society of Gastrointestinal National Association and certification by SGNA
- 2+ years of recent endoscopy lab or ICU, ED experience
- Demonstrated advanced level of achievement of performance standards for endoscopy nursing according to SGNA standards of care
- 1+ years of experience working as a Registered Nurse
- Candidates are required to pass a drug test before beginning employment
