Job Summary
Provide direct patient care and maintain patient care standards under the supervision of a licensed mentor nurse. Exhibit the ability to work with diverse socio-economic backgrounds, organize priorities, and adapt to a rapidly changing environment. Maintain a Student Nurse Apprentice permit issued from the Alabama Board of Nursing and complete BLS certification before orientation. This role supports the DeKalb Acute Medical Care Unit's goal of developing skilled nursing professionals through a registered apprenticeship program.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Enrolled in a Board approved nursing education program
- Actively engaged in a registered apprenticeship
- Student Nurse Apprentice permit issued from the Alabama Board of Nursing
- BLS certification before the conclusion of the orientation period
