Job Summary
Provide comprehensive care to pregnant patients experiencing high-risk medical, obstetric, or fetal conditions requiring hospitalization prior to delivery in the Mother/Baby unit. Utilize the nursing process for top-of-scope direct patient care while prioritizing a multidisciplinary team approach and evidence-based practice. Model proficiency by precepting new healthcare staff and welcome new knowledge in a fast-paced clinical environment. Maintain BLS certification and complete NRP training within six months of hire. This role supports the Women and Infants department, including Mother/Baby, Labor and Delivery, Women's Care, and NICU units, within the UCHealth Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion in Aurora, CO.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years' experience
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Relevant certification as determined at position level
- 6 months of Women and Infants nursing (RN) experience or completion of the UCHealth Fellowship program
- NRP within 6 months of hire
- ACLS for those that do labor
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
