Job Summary
Lead the health care team by prioritizing and delegating patient care activities while supervising staff competencies and development. Ensure compliance with the Nurse Practice Act, TJC, and federal/state/local requirements through effective collaboration with physicians, the Medical Director, and the Site Administrator. Monitor budgets, resource allocations, and financial performance to identify strategies that reduce costs and improve quality of service. Manage equipment, supplies, and medications; procure materials at competitive prices with reputable vendors. Resolve administrative, clinical, and human resource issues, including labor relations, safety, and risk management. Mentor, orient, and coach non-provider staff while maintaining the strictest confidentiality. Serve as a liaison between the site and external agencies, facilitating access demands and improving customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Current California RN license
- Current Basic Life Support for Providers, by American Heart Association (AHA)
- Advanced Life Support certification (ACLS), by American Heart Association (AHA)
- Registered Nurse with at least 1 year of clinical experience
- 2 years of clinical experience perferred in a hospital, clinic, home care, nursing home setting or health facility within the last 5 yrs
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor‘s degree in Nursing preferred
- Has excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized and ability to work independently
- Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds
- Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, electronic medical records and ability to learn new applications easily
- Demonstrates ability to supervise and direct administrative personnel
