Job Summary
Provide professional ambulatory nursing care in Mercy Clinic Urology, supporting physicians with exams, treatments, injections, and IV therapy; room and prepare patients, collect history and vital signs, document care in the electronic health record, manage test results and care coordination, maintain infection control and exam-room readiness, and contribute to patient education and overall clinic operations. Schedule is Full Time (Monday to Friday) in the Urology outpatient clinic; requires current state nursing licensure and CPR within 90 days.
Required Qualifications
- Education : Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Licensure : Current valid state license
- Certifications : CPR certification or obtain within 90 days of employment
- Responsibilities : Assess, room, and prepare patients; obtain history and vital signs; Assist providers with urology exams, treatments, procedures, injections, and IV therapy; Perform urology-specific nursing care and support labs, imaging, and urgent needs; Document care, diagnoses, and procedures accurately in the electronic health record; Manage patient communications, test result follow-up, and care coordination; Maintain exam rooms, equipment, and medication safety; follow infection control standards
