Job Summary
RN Ambulatory - Orthopedics provides professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting, including health-status assessments, nursing assessments, telephone triage, and care planning. Administers medications and treatments, initiates CPR and emergency measures, notifies physicians/LIP of abnormal findings, and supports specialized diagnostic/therapeutic procedures. Develops and documents patient education for patients and families, and may cover other nursing roles within the department. Travels within the region to support physician clinics and procedures as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or American Red Cross
- One year of recent RN experience
- Will consider LPN, Medical Assistant and/or other unlicensed clinical healthcare experience in substitution if transferring within ambulatory Cleveland Clinic setting
