Job Summary
RN Ambulatory - Endoscopy within the Cleveland Clinic Health System. Responsibilities include providing professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting, performing nursing assessments, initiating CPR and other emergency measures, administering medications and treatments, conducting telephone triage, establishing care plans, communicating abnormal findings to physicians/LIP, supporting specialized diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and delivering health education to patients and families. The role may require travel within the region to support physician clinics and surgical procedures, and involves coverage of additional nursing roles within the department. Strong clinical skills in ambulatory nursing, patient education, emergency readiness, and collaboration with care teams are essential. Flexible shifts in the provided schedule and commitment to patient-first care are emphasized.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through AHA or American Red Cross
- One year of recent RN OR LPN, Medical Assistant and/or other unlicensed clinical healthcare experience if transferring within Cleveland Clinic ambulatory setting OR current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in ambulatory setting transferring into RN role within same specialty area
