RN - After Hours

Provide end-of-life hospice nursing in home or facility settings under supervision, delivering comprehensive skilled nursing care within scope of practice and ensuring patient comfort per assessments. Responsibilities include administering treatments and medications, implementing hospice philosophy of care per regulations, maintaining detailed documentation, updating and modifying care plans with the Case Manager, communicating changes to the Hospice Physician and care team, providing education to caregivers, and performing Five Rights of Medication Administration. Employee duties also encompass on-call coverage, travel within the service area, safety and infection-control compliance, and fostering professional relationships with patients, families, and staff; supervisory responsibilities may apply. Fluent English required; ability to position and move safely, travel to community locations, and operate a motorized vehicle with required insurance coverage. Special requirements include the ability to travel within the agency’s service area (1.5 hours from home office) and participation in continuing education.
