Job Summary
Respond to all codes and administer patient care throughout the hospital while following up with high-risk patients to reduce code likelihood and supporting those who have previously coded. Assess patient needs, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate progress toward expected outcomes. Collaborate with medical staff and interdisciplinary teams to manage units, delegate tasks appropriately, and communicate patient conditions or unit concerns. Document care consistently, prioritize care using Evidence-Based Practice Standards, and practice effective problem identification and resolution. Maintain compliance with hospital policies, attend staff development meetings, and participate in nursing committees and performance improvement initiatives. Work nights as a full-time member of the Rapid Response Team at Baptist Health Brookwood Hospital.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing
- Meets all mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for Orlando Health and unit/department
- Maintains current State of Alabama RN license or valid multistate RN license
- Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification
- 1 year experience required unless approved by AVP level or above
- Full-time role working Nights
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
