Job Summary

Provide compassionate, evidence-based, and efficient care to patients, families, and communities in Surgical Oncology, adhering to the Oregon Nurse Practice Act and ANA standards. Demonstrate professional role obligations as a scientist, leader, and knowledge transferor within a multidisciplinary team. Maintain a culture of safety by committing to just, reporting, learning, and engaged informed cultures while collaborating with pharmacy, social work, and other health care professionals. This role requires one year of RN experience in Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplant, or Adult inpatient Med/Surg. Candidates must hold a current, unencumbered Oregon State Registered Nurse License, BLS certification, and either a BSN or ADN (with a plan to complete BSN within five years). Orientation includes external new employee training for experienced nurses, with a transition program lasting three days to 26 weeks depending on the care area. Required Qualifications

  • 1 year RN experience in Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplant, or Adult inpatient Med/Surg
  • Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from a program accredited by Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA) 30 days before start date
  • Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program 30 days before the start date
  • Associate degree Nurses required to enroll in BSN program within 3 years of hire and complete within 5 years of hire
  • Current, unencumbered Oregon State Registered Nurse License
  • BLS from AHA required
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation

Desired Qualifications

  • Medical Surgical (CMSRN), Progressive Care (PCCN), or Oncology Specialty certification (OCN)
  • Chemotherapy Certification or competency
  • Artificial Airway experience
  • Charge RN Training
  • Preceptor RN Training
  • 12 Months+ Professional Governance Experience
