Job Summary
Provide compassionate, evidence-based care to individuals, families, and patient populations in Surgical Oncology or Medical Oncology settings while adhering to the Oregon Nurse Practice Act and ANA standards. Demonstrate professional accountability as a leader in promoting inter-professional collaboration, innovation, and a culture of safety. Ensure care delivery aligns with the Onsomble Model of the Professional Role, emphasizing lifelong learning and teamwork. Candidates must hold a current unencumbered Oregon RN license and one year of relevant experience. Associate Degree Nurses must enroll in a BSN program within three years of hire. Complete required orientation and training programs, including Transition to Practice or specialty fellowships, depending on the care area.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year RN experience in Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplant, or Adult inpatient Med/Surg
- Associate or Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from a program accredited by the Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), or Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA) by 30 days before the start date
- Associate Degree Nurses required to enroll in BSN program within 3 years of hire and complete within 5 years of hire
- Current unencumbered Oregon RN license
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) by the start date - must not expire during orientation
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation
Desired Qualifications
- Medical Surgical (CMSRN), Progressive Care (PCCN), or Oncology Specialty certification (OCN)
- Chemotherapy Certification or competency
- Artificial Airway experience (for 6/7VPV only)
- Charge RN Training
- Preceptor RN Training
- 12 Months+ Professional Governance Experience
