Job Summary
Facilitate admissions, clinical intake assessments, and utilization review processes to assure continuity of care for patients. Review medical documentation, complete medication reconciliation, and obtain admission orders from physicians. Conduct assessments to determine the appropriate level of care, perform insurance benefit verifications, and secure initial pre-authorizations. Coordinate care for patients not being admitted and ensure they receive appropriate follow-up referrals. Demonstrate a positive, empathetic attitude while prioritizing patient safety and resolving complaints promptly. Bronson Behavioral Health Hospital addresses the growing need for accessible behavioral health services in southwest Michigan, offering a full continuum of inpatient care for adults with anxiety, depression, and PTSD. This part-time role includes night shifts (7:00 p.m.-7:00 a.m.) with weekend rotation and offers an option to convert to full-time.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of Associate's degree in Nursing
- Minimum one year of experience working with individuals in a clinical or observational capacity
- Clear and active nursing license in the state
- CPR certification
- de-escalation/restraint certification
- First aid (may be required based on state or facility)
