RN Admissions

Review medical documentation, complete medication reconciliation, and obtain admission orders from physicians. Facilitate emergency transfers for patients with medical conditions beyond the facility's capabilities and conduct assessments to determine appropriate levels of care. Collaborate with medical and psychiatric personnel to ensure appropriate recommendations, while performing insurance benefit verifications and securing initial pre-authorizations. Monitor patient status throughout the admissions process, utilizing web-based programs to track referrals and communicate projected admissions promptly. Admit patients to the registration and accounting system, maintaining accurate medical record documentation to facilitate payor authorization. Coordinate care for patients not being admitted and ensure timely receipt of clinical information from referral sources.
