Job Summary
Serves as Chief Administrative Officer in the absence of Hospital Administrative Staff, interfacing with all departments to solve problems. Makes rounds on all units to support nursing, coaching and mentoring Charge Nurses and staff RNs. Obtains reports on staffing, hospital falls, AMA's, patient complaints, and problems, then resolves immediate issues and documents incidents for appropriate follow-up. Works with Resource Staffing, Customer Service, and Administrator on call to stabilize staffing, resolve complaints, and manage facility or disaster issues. Reviews deaths, handles organ donation, and collaborates with Security, Engineering, and Public Relations on miscellaneous matters. Manages critical personnel issues such as fitness for duty and insubordination while ensuring employees are treated according to policy.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Three (3) years of Nursing experience
- Current RN compact/multistate license recognized by the NCSBN Compact State or licensed to practice as an RN in the state the team member is working
- Ability to demonstrate superior and effective communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Five (5) years of Nursing experience
