Job Summary
Coordinate daily administrative operations for patient care and hospital functions during off shifts, weekends, and holidays in conjunction with Nursing and Hospital Administration. Manage administrative activities while representing OHSU Hospital and the clinical enterprise to the community and public. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, union contracts, and hospital policies regarding confidentiality, infection control, and OHSA regulations. Participate in benefits matters and medical treatment matters subject to HIPAA training and PHI protections. Maintain status as a Trained Organ Requestor through Pacific Northwest Transplant Bank training and complete Incident Command System training via FEMA. This role exemplifies a Just, Reporting, Learning, and Engaged Informed Culture within the OHSU system.
Required Qualifications
- BSN
- 5 yrs clinical or management experience
- Current OR RN license
- BLS at time of hire
- Strong communication skills
- teamwork (demonstrated ability to build team and integrate existing teams)
- experience in complex organizational environments
- Strong knowledge of current union contracts
- knowledge of Hospital and University policies
- knowledge of human resource policies
- knowledge of Code of Conduct
- knowledge of infection control
- knowledge of OHSA regulations
- Ability to remain focused while performing multiple tasks and assignments
- Maintain status as Trained Organ Requestor by attending training sessions offered by Pacific Northwest Transplant Bank
- Complete Incident Command System training through FEMA
