Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned adults and geriatric patients with neurological conditions, including CVA, brain injury, and spinal injury. Maintain professional accountability for care effectiveness and coordinate patient care with other departments while ensuring patient rights and confidentiality. Perform duties consistent with Mercy Service Standards and obtain current RN licensure and Basic Life Support certification. Work full-time nights in a collaborative team environment offering comprehensive care for patients experiencing loss of function in activities of daily living.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a school of nursing (associate's degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
