Job Summary
Provide patient care for adult and adult geriatric patients with neurological conditions using the nursing process. Coordinate care with other departments while maintaining professional accountability and patient confidentiality. Evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by direct care givers and ensure duties align with Mercy Service Standards. Work 36 hours per week on night shifts at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Festus, MO. Receive a sign-on bonus of $10,000 for graduates or $13,000 for experienced nurses. Treat patients with diagnoses including CVA, brain injury, spinal injury, amputation, hip fracture, and joint replacement.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- 36 hours per week, Nights
