Job Summary
Rounds on inpatient units and partners with team members to identify and close quality care gaps related to falls, HAPI, CAUTI, and CLABSI. Provides top-of-scope direct patient care in moderate to high acuity specialty Acute Care units while modeling proficiency through precepting new staff. Contributes to secure safety and quality at the point of care within a multidisciplinary environment. This onsite role rotates between day and evening shifts (6:00 a.m.-6:30 p.m. and 12:00 p.m.-12:30 a.m.) for three 12-hour shifts weekly at the Anschutz Medical Campus. Requires an RN license, six months of experience, and current BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification
- any relevant life support certification as determined at position level
- 6 months of nursing (RN) experience
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years' experience
