Job Summary
Rounds on inpatient units, partners with unit teams, assists with patient care needs, and helps identify and close quality care gaps related to initiatives such as falls, HAPI, CAUTI, and CLABSI. Provides top of scope practice in direct patient care utilizing the nursing process while prioritizing wellness, a patient perspective, and evidence-based practice. Contributes to secure safety and quality at the point of care through precepting new healthcare staff and modeling proficiency. This bedside, patient-facing role is based in person at the Anschutz Medical Campus. Candidates must have six months of RN experience, state licensure, and valid BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification
- 6 months of nursing (RN) experience
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program
- This position is an onsite role
- This position is based in person at the Anschutz Medical Campus
- This position is a bedside, patient-facing role
- The position is scheduled for three 12-hour shifts per week
- Rotating between the following shift times: 6:00 a.m.-6:30 p.m.
- Rotating between the following shift times: 12:00 p.m.-12:30 a.m.
- Work nights
- Direct care includes specialty Acute Care (Med-Surg) Units of moderate to high patient acuity
