Job Summary
Round on inpatient units, partner with unit teams, and assist with patient care needs while identifying and closing quality care gaps related to falls, HAPI, CAUTI, and CLABSI. Provide top-of-scope direct patient care in moderate to high acuity specialty Acute Care units using the nursing process and evidence-based practice models. Model proficiency by precepting new healthcare staff and contribute to secure safety and quality at the point of care within a multidisciplinary team approach. This bedside, patient-facing role rotates between day and evening shifts at the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, CO.
Required Qualifications
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification
- any relevant life support certification as determined at position level
- 6 months of nursing (RN) experience
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years' experience
