Required Qualifications

• •State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• •6 months of nursing (RN) experience
• •BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
• •BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
• •Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years' experience
• •Must be able to lift 50 lbs
• •Must be available for weekend shifts
• •Must be available for night shifts
• •Must be available for three 12-hour shifts per week
• •Must be able to work nights
• •Must be able to work days
• •Must be able to work in a fast paced, innovative clinical environment
• •Must be able to provide top of scope practice in direct patient care utilizing the nursing process
• •Must be able to value a multidisciplinary team approach to achieve exceptional outcomes
• •Must be able to prioritize wellness, a patient perspective and evidence-based practice
• •Must be able to model proficiency through precepting those new to healthcare and/or UCHealth
• •Must be able to welcome new knowledge
• •Must be able to contribute to secure safety and quality at the point of care
• •Must be able to support both the Virtual Telemetry RN and Virtual Admissions/Quality RN functions
• •Must be able to monitor new orders for telemetry, pulse oximetry, and capnography in real time
• •Must be able to partner with Patient Technology Technicians to ensure monitoring is initiated
• •Must be able to communicate updates to the bedside RN
• •Must be able to complete admission documentation for new admissions and transfers
• •Must be able to help reduce the bedside team's workload
• •Must be able to identify and address gaps in care
• •Must be able to work closely with Patient Technology Technicians and bedside teams
• •Must be able to connect with patients and families through an iPad
• •Must be able to work in specialty Acute Care (Med-Surg) Units of moderate to high patient acuity
• •Must be able to utilize the nursing process
• •Must be able to work in a multidisciplinary team
• •Must be able to prioritize wellness
• •Must be able to prioritize a patient perspective
