Job Summary
Provide top-of-scope direct patient care in specialty Acute Care (Med-Surg) units for moderate to high acuity patients, including solid organ transplants, thoracic surgery, and hepatology. Prioritize wellness, a patient perspective, and evidence-based practice while contributing to secure safety and quality at the point of care. Model proficiency by precepting new healthcare staff and guide individualized specialty education and training for competency validation throughout clinical orientation. This role involves a day and night rotation schedule with 72 hours per pay period. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years' experience
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider and any relevant life support certification as determined at position level
- BLS - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
- 6 months of nursing (RN) experience
