Job Summary
Provide top-of-scope direct patient care in specialty Acute Care (Med-Surg) units with moderate to high patient acuity, utilizing the nursing process and evidence-based care models. Prioritize patient wellness and safety while modeling proficiency by precepting new healthcare staff. Operate within a multidisciplinary team to achieve exceptional outcomes in a fast-paced clinical environment. Maintain current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, ensuring validity for sixty days post-hire. This onsite role supports clinical educators in validating competency during orientation.
Required Qualifications
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- 6 months of nursing (RN) experience
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years' experience
