Job Summary
Provide top-of-scope direct patient care in moderate to high acuity Acute Care (Med-Surg) units, utilizing the nursing process and evidence-based care models. Prioritize a multidisciplinary team approach to achieve exceptional outcomes while modeling proficiency through precepting new healthcare staff. Contribute to secure safety and quality at the point of care in a fast-paced, innovative clinical environment. Work full-time nights (72 hours per pay period) onsite at UCHealth Memorial Hospital Central, Colorado Springs, with a quarterly night shift incentive program.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years' experience
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider and any relevant life support certification as determined at position level
- 6 months of nursing (RN) experience
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
