Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned patients in the Surgical Stepdown unit while maintaining professional accountability. Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information, performing all duties consistent with Mercy mission, values, and service standards. Requires current Missouri RN license, BLS certification, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs with prolonged standing. Night shift full-time schedule of 36 hours per week with a $20,000 sign-on bonus for experienced RNs.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Associate Degree in Nursing
- Nursing Diploma
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri
- Compact licensure in accordance with state board of nursing regulations
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Completion of BLS certification within 30 days of hire
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
