Job Summary
Provide top-of-scope direct patient care on specialty Acute Care (Med-Surg) units with moderate to high patient acuity, utilizing the nursing process and evidence-based care models. Prioritize patient wellness and safety while modeling proficiency through precepting new staff during clinical orientation. Maintain state licensure as an RN, hold current Basic Life Support certification valid through sixty days of hire, and demonstrate at least six months of nursing experience. Work full-time day and night rotations in an onsite environment at the UCHealth Anschutz Inpt Pavilion in Aurora, CO.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification
- CPR for the Professional Rescuer certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross
- BLS or CPR card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card good through sixty days of hire
- 6 months of nursing (RN) experience
