Job Summary
Provide direct patient care in specialty Acute Care (Med-Surg) Units with moderate to high patient acuity, utilizing the nursing process and evidence-based care models. Prioritize patient wellness, a patient perspective, and safety and quality at the point of care while modeling proficiency through precepting new healthcare staff. Contribute to exceptional outcomes through a multidisciplinary team approach in a fast-paced, innovative clinical environment. Maintain current Basic Life Support certification in-hand before start date and ensure it remains valid through sixty days of hire. Work full-time, 72 hours per pay period in day and night rotations at the UCHealth UCHlth Anschutz Inpt Pavilion in Aurora, CO.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification
- Any relevant life support certification as determined at position level
- 6 months of nursing (RN) experience
- Registered Nurse credential
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card good through sixty days of hire
