Job Summary
RN Acute Care Medicine Specialist role providing direct patient care on Acute Care (Med-Surg) units with top-of-scope nursing practice using the nursing process; works within a multidisciplinary team to achieve exceptional outcomes, emphasizes wellness and evidence-based practice, and precepts new staff during orientation and ongoing training. Role involves direct patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment, contributing to safety and quality at the point of care, and supporting specialty education and competency validation through clinical educators. Shift includes Day and Night rotation; location at UCHealth Anschutz Pavilion in Aurora, CO with in-person responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider and any relevant life support certification as determined at position level
- 6 months of nursing (RN) experience
- BLS - CPR card good through sixty days of hire
