Job Summary

Provide direct patient care in a 24/7 Acute Care environment using the nursing process to optimize outcomes and maximize resources. Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions to a multidisciplinary team while collaborating on transfers, discharge, and psychosocial support. Evaluate learning needs for patients and families, delivering education tailored to age, culture, and condition. Delegate care to ancillary personnel and precept student nurses or new hires as needed. Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced setting. Full-time night shift, 72 hours per pay period, onsite only.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years' experience
  • State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider and any relevant life support certification as determined at position level
  • 6 months of nursing (RN) experience
  • BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
  • BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
  • This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option
  • Shift: Nights
  • Work Schedule: Full Time, 72.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
  • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action

Desired Qualifications

  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Nursing
