Job Summary
Provide top-of-scope direct patient care in specialty acute care (Med-Surg) units with moderate to high acuity, prioritizing wellness and evidence-based practice. Utilize the nursing process to achieve exceptional outcomes through a multidisciplinary team approach while modeling proficiency by precepting new healthcare staff. Maintain current BLS, ACLS, and relevant life support certifications, ensuring all cards are valid through sixty days of hire. Contribute to secure safety and quality at the point of care within a fast-paced, innovative clinical environment.
Required Qualifications
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider
- any relevant life support certification as determined at position level
- 6 months of nursing (RN) experience
- ACLS within 1 year of hire
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years' experience
