Job Summary
Provide direct patient care in medical/surgical, telemetry, and PCU settings as part of the RN Acute Care Float Pool. Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, develop and implement individualized nursing care plans, and deliver education to patients and families. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure safe, high-quality care; manage care for multiple patients through direct care or delegation; evaluate patient responses and outcomes and use critical thinking to inform clinical decisions.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Professional Nursing
- Experience in assigned departments, required (Med/Surg, Telemetry, PCU)
- Minimum of 3 years experience to work Float Pool
- Current RN license in the State of Texas or compact license
- Current AHA or ARC BLS provider required
- Current AHA or ARC ACLS prover required
