Job Summary
RN Acute Care Float Pool role at Medical City Dallas requires direct patient care across medical/surgical units with emphasis on nursing process and patient outcomes. Responsibilities include determining health status and needs, developing and implementing individualized nursing care plans, performing comprehensive nursing assessments, educating patients and families, coordinating with interdisciplinary healthcare team, and managing multiple patients through direct care or delegation. Requires applying critical thinking to analyze data and literature to inform nursing practice, and providing teaching for health promotion, maintenance and restoration. Qualifications include graduation from an accredited nursing program, Texas (or compact) RN license, and active BLS and ACLS credentials.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Professional Nursing
- Current RN license in the State of Texas or compact license
- Current AHA or ARC BLS provider
- Current AHA or ARC ACLS prover
