Job Summary
Provide top-of-scope direct patient care in specialty acute care units (Med-Surg) with moderate to high patient acuity across Highlands Ranch, Broomfield, Longs Peak, and University of Colorado hospitals. Utilize the nursing process, prioritize patient wellness and evidence-based practice, and support a multidisciplinary team approach. Model proficiency by precepting new healthcare staff and guide individualized specialty education for competency validation. Contribute to secure safety and quality at the point of care within a fast-paced clinical environment. Requires full-time status (72 hours per pay period) with day/night rotation, BLS certification, and six months of RN experience.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years' experience
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- 6 months of nursing (RN) experience
- BLS - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
