Job Summary
Provide top-of-scope direct patient care in moderate to high acuity specialty acute care units, including Med-Surg, across Highlands Ranch, Broomfield, Longs Peak, and University of Colorado hospitals. Utilize the nursing process to prioritize patient wellness and evidence-based practice while contributing to safety and quality at the point of care. Support a multidisciplinary team approach and model proficiency by precepting new healthcare staff. Operate within a fast-paced clinical environment where Clinical Educators guide competency validation during orientation.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years' experience
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- 6 months of nursing (RN) experience
- BLS - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
