Job Summary
Provide top-of-scope direct patient care in specialty acute care (Med-Surg) units with moderate to high patient acuity across Highlands Ranch, Broomfield, Longs Peak, and University of Colorado Hospitals. Utilize the nursing process, prioritize wellness and evidence-based practice, and contribute to safety and quality at the point of care. Model proficiency by precepting new healthcare staff and guide individualized specialty education through clinical orientation. Support a multidisciplinary team approach to achieve exceptional outcomes in a fast-paced clinical environment. Full-time schedule includes 72 hours per pay period with day/night rotation or nights only.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years' experience.
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- 6 months of nursing (RN) experience.
- BLS - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date.
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
- This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option.
