Job Summary
Provide top-of-scope direct patient care in specialty Acute Care (Med-Surg) units with moderate to high patient acuity, utilizing the nursing process and evidence-based care models. Prioritize patient wellness and safety while modeling proficiency through precepting new healthcare staff. Contribute to secure quality at the point of care within a multidisciplinary team approach. Maintain current certifications including BLS, ACLS, and PALS, with NIHSS within six months. Work nights in an onsite role at Pueblo West Hospital, earning a quarterly shift incentive.
Required Qualifications
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification
- any relevant life support certification as determined at position level
- 6 months of nursing (RN) experience
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification
- PALS Certification
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
