Job Summary
Provide top-of-scope direct patient care in specialty Acute Care (Med-Surg) units with moderate to high patient acuity, utilizing the nursing process and evidence-based care models. Prioritize patient wellness and safety while contributing to secure quality at the point of care within a multidisciplinary team. Model proficiency by precepting new healthcare staff and guide competency validation through clinical orientation. Maintain ONS Chemo Bio certification within six months and hold current BLS/CPR certification. Work nights in an onsite role at UCHealth UCHlth Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion in Aurora, CO, as part of a fast-paced, innovative clinical environment.
Required Qualifications
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- 6 months of nursing (RN) experience
- ONS Chemo Bio Cert obtainment within six months of hire or transfer
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years' experience
