Job Summary
Provide top-of-scope direct patient care in specialty Acute Care (Med-Surg) units with moderate to high patient acuity. Utilize the nursing process to prioritize wellness, a patient perspective, and evidence-based practice within a multidisciplinary team approach. Model proficiency by precepting new healthcare staff and welcome new knowledge in a fast-paced, innovative clinical environment. Contribute to secure safety and quality at the point of care. This full-time night shift role is onsite at UCHealth Memorial Hospital Central in Colorado Springs. Candidates must hold a current RN license, BLS certification, and 6 months of nursing experience, with ACLS required within one year of hire.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification
- Any relevant life support certification as determined at position level
- 6 months of nursing (RN) experience
- ACLS certification within 1 year of hire
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
- This position is an onsite role
