Job Summary
Provide top-of-scope direct patient care in the Cardiovascular Thoracic PCU, utilizing the nursing process for moderate to high acuity patients. Prioritize wellness, evidence-based practice, and a multidisciplinary team approach to achieve exceptional outcomes. Model proficiency by precepting new healthcare staff and welcome new knowledge in this fast-paced clinical environment. Contribute to secure safety and quality at the point of care while supporting the AMSN core curriculum standards. Work nights as part of a full-time, 0.9 FTE team with a quarterly incentive program for night shift employees.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years' experience
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider
- any relevant life support certification as determined at position level
- 6 months of nursing (RN) experience
- ACLS within 1 year of hire
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
- This position is an onsite role
