Job Summary
Provide top-of-scope direct patient care on the Cardiology Medicine Unit in Aurora, utilizing the nursing process for moderate to high acuity patients. Prioritize wellness, evidence-based practice, and a multidisciplinary team approach to achieve exceptional outcomes. Model proficiency by precepting new healthcare staff and welcome new knowledge in this fast-paced clinical environment. Maintain Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within one year of hire and ensure BLS/CPR cards are current. Contribute to secure safety and quality at the point of care while supporting a culture that invests in professional success and personal well-being.
Required Qualifications
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- 6 months of nursing (RN) experience
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 1 year of hire/transfer
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years' experience
