RN - Acute Care - Cardiac Telemetry - Full-Time Day Shift

Job Summary
Conduct direct patient care on cardiac telemetry units while performing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Coordinate interdisciplinary rounds and documentation to ensure safe, high-quality care for patients and families, adapting service delivery to population-specific characteristics. Partner with patients and significant others to set goals and provide just-in-time teaching. Complete mandatory education, competency assessments, and serve as a preceptor or mentor to support the nursing workforce. Participate in performance improvement activities, evidence-based practice initiatives, and shared governance to promote patient safety and reduce re-admission rates. Comply with Georgia Nurse Practice Act and Wellstar policies while functioning decisively in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- Minimum 5 years RN experience Required
- Ability to read, write and speak English language
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative skills
- Ability to function in a fast paced environment and respond to emergencies in using a decisive, composed and respectful manner
- Possess excellent time management skills
- practices nursing using evidence and analytical skills along with possessing strong critical thinking skills
Desired Qualifications
- Associates Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing or Bachelors Nursing-Preferred
