Job Summary
Provide top-of-scope direct patient care on the Burn Trauma Unit utilizing the nursing process, prioritizing a multidisciplinary team approach and evidence-based practice. Deliver specialty acute care for moderate to high acuity patients while modeling proficiency by precepting new healthcare staff. Maintain a full-time schedule with day and night rotations, earning a quarterly incentive for night shifts. Ensure all certifications including BLS, ACLS, and relevant life support are current through the start date and maintained within sixty days of hire. Contribute to secure safety and quality at the point of care within a fast-paced clinical environment.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years' experience
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider
- any relevant life support certification as determined at position level
- 6 months of nursing (RN) experience
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
- Direct care includes specialty Acute Care (Med-Surg) Units of moderate to high patient acuity
