Job Summary
Responsible for directing and supervising nursing care on the designated unit during 8-hour shifts on Saturdays and Sundays. Oversees Certified Nursing Aides, ensures adherence to care plans, administers medications and treatments as ordered, documents nursing notes and resident progress, participates in care planning and physician communications, and ensures quality of care and staffing coverage. Requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, valid state nursing license, leadership and supervisory abilities, and willingness to work weekend shifts and flexible hours.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited nursing program
- Valid nursing license in the state of employment
- License in good standing per Board of Nurse Examiners (BNE)
- Background checks in good standing per DADS requirements
- Demonstrates leadership and managerial ability
- Ability to organize, plan and supervise nursing staff
- Willing to work weekend hours and various shifts
- Willingness to be in facility on time and contribute to staffing needs
- Ability to provide emergency assistance and supervise patient care
- Familiarity with HIPAA and confidentiality requirements
- Pre-employment and annual Tuberculosis screening
- Maintain professional appearance and conduct
