Job Summary
Registered Nurse on 8-hour shifts for Saturday and Sunday, supervising Certified Nursing Aides, administering medications and treatments, coordinating resident care, and ensuring adherence to care plans and facility policies. Requires active nursing license, leadership capability, ability to supervise staff, strong documentation and communication skills, and commitment to geriatric resident care; includes participation in staff education, rounds with physicians, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. Must be available to work weekends and be able to begin duties on time in a facility setting in Oklahoma City, OK.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and currently licensed in the state of employment
- Must maintain an active nursing license (BNE) and comply with background check requirements (DADS)
- Demonstrates leadership and managerial ability
- Ability to organize, plan and supervise care and Certified Nursing Aides
- Effective interpersonal skills and teamwork
- Willingness to provide emergency assistance to residents
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Commitment to geriatric resident care
- Punctuality and reliability in weekday and weekend shifts
- Willingness to work scheduled shifts and assist on other shifts as needed
- Ability to evaluate residents’ needs and provide timely interventions
- Ability to evaluate nursing staff needs and provide staff education timely
- Ability to follow and supervise staff to ensure facility policies/procedures are followed
- Ability to manage and supervise assigned unit productively and timely
- Pre-employment and annual Tuberculosis screening requirements
- Maintains confidentiality of resident information per HIPAA
- Compliance with Board of Nurse Examiners guidelines
- Performs additional tasks as assigned by supervisor
