Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care in the 4 West ICU Step Down unit, acting as a patient advocate for safe care delivery. Manage delegation of care and participate in performance and practice improvement activities while maintaining accountability for professional development within the legal scope of practice. Maintain licensure in Ohio and hold BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications as required by unit scope. Work full-time nights shift at Kettering Health Dayton, a not-for-profit system serving southwest Ohio.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed in the state of Ohio as a Registered Nurse
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (NLN, ACEN, or CCNE) if they are a new graduate nurse
- Bachelor of Science in nursing preferred (must be completed within 5 years of hire)
- BLS certification
- ACLS, NRP, PALS as determined by unit scope of practice
