Job Summary
RN in inpatient oncology Med Surg on night shift delivering professional nursing care using the nursing process. Accountable for assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient care; applies growth and development principles across the lifespan; prioritizes patient safety; educates patients and families; uses evidence-based practice; supports holistic, culturally sensitive care; engages in nursing competency progression via the CAPE ladder with requirements by level. Requires current RN license (state or multi-state via eNLC) and Basic Life Support within 30 days. Night shift; scheduled weekends/holidays; 36 hours weekly; includes emphasis on continuous professional development, safety, documentation, and collaboration with interprofessional team.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which services will be provided or current multi-state Registered Nurse license through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC)
- Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date
- Less than 12 months of experience as a registered nurse
- BSN preferred (as part of stated preferences)
