Job Summary
The CCU RN provides professional nursing care to assigned patients in the CCU, a 20-bed unit specializing in acutely critically ill adults. Responsibilities include performing initial assessments upon admission, developing and implementing plans of care in collaboration with the Critical Care Team, administering medications, monitoring patients with continuous cardiac monitoring, managing IVs and invasive lines (arterial/central lines, EVD, ICP monitoring), operating and monitoring complex equipment (ventilators, pumps), documenting care in the medical record, and communicating with patients, families, and the healthcare team. Requires Illinois RN licensure, ACLS within 1 year, and BLS within 30 days; experience in critical care preferred. Location: Champaign, IL, US.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year - American Heart Association
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association
- RN>1yr critical care preferred
