Job Summary
Delivers safe, effective, and independent nursing care using the nursing process, performing thorough patient assessments and developing individualized care plans that incorporate patient and family input. Documents care accurately in electronic records, identifies learning needs, and recognizes cultural differences to personalize treatment. Functions within a developing leadership role, delegating appropriately and assisting in orienting staff and students when preceptors are unavailable. Works effectively with the interdisciplinary team, advocates for patients, and participates in quality improvement initiatives by collecting data to meet organizational standards. Maintains required points and contact hours per the clinical lattice PLAN system. Night shift coverage from 7:00pm to 7:00am with 24 weekly hours.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited prelicensure Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Valid, unencumbered Registered Nursing License approved by the Georgia Board of Nursing
- BLS certification
- Active compact/multistate license (eNLC) within 60 days of hire (if completing virtual care activities that may include multi-state practice)
- Ability to lift 36-75 lbs (0-33% of work day)
- Ability to lift 20-35 lbs (34-66% of workday)
- Ability to lift 10-20 lbs (67-100% of workday)
- Carrying of objects up to 35 lbs
- Occasional to frequent standing & walking
- Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing)
- Availability for night shifts (7:00pm - 7:00am)
- 24 Weekly Hours
- One week's advance notice
Desired Qualifications
- ACLS certification (may be required for certain departments, post hire)
- Additional certifications based on department and specialty
